do good
Act with kindness
To do good is to perform charitable, helpful, or morally beneficial acts: She wanted to do good in the world.
The phrase often carries a whiff of idealism or naïveté—someone accused of just wanting to do good may be seen as impractical.
A do-gooder is a person who tries to help others, usually with a dismissive or mocking edge.
