diss tracks
Rap rivalry songs
Diss tracks are songs created specifically to insult or attack another artist, typically a rival rapper or musician.
The genre thrives in hip-hop, where feuds play out through increasingly sharp verses: Drake and Kendrick exchanged diss tracks all summer.
A good diss track combines clever wordplay with genuine venom, aiming to damage the target's reputation or credibility.
