disestablished
Stripped of status
Disestablished describes something that has been officially dissolved or removed from its established status.
Most often applied to churches that have lost their position as the official state religion: The Church of Ireland was disestablished in 1871.
More broadly, it can describe any institution stripped of its formal standing or authority.
