dissolved

Faded into solution

Dissolved describes something that has been broken down and absorbed into a liquid, disappearing into solution: The sugar dissolved in the hot coffee.

By extension, dissolved applies to things that have ended or dispersed: a dissolved marriage, a dissolved partnership, a dissolved parliament.

When something dissolves, it loses its distinct form and ceases to exist as a separate entity.
