disease carrier
Pathogen transmission agent
A disease carrier is a person, animal, or organism that harbors a pathogen and can transmit it to others without necessarily showing symptoms of illness themselves.
The term applies both to biological vectors like mosquitoes carrying malaria and to human carriers: Typhoid Mary was the most infamous disease carrier in American history.
In figurative or hostile use, it labels someone as a source of contagion or corruption.
