dirty code
Poorly written software
Dirty code is software code that works but is poorly written—disorganized, hard to read, or difficult to maintain.
It may lack documentation, use confusing variable names, or take shortcuts that create problems later: We shipped it, but now we're paying for all that dirty code.
The opposite is clean code.
Also called messy code or spaghetti code.
