dinner theaters
Eat, watch shows
Dinner theaters are entertainment venues that combine a meal with a live performance, typically a play or musical.
Patrons dine at tables while watching the show, often served by waitstaff during the performance.
The format peaked in American popularity during the 1970s and 1980s but persists in murder mystery shows and nostalgic productions: We saw a production of Grease at a dinner theater in the suburbs.
