dimensional shift
Reality boundary crossing
A dimensional shift is a transition between planes of existence or alternate realities, common in science fiction and fantasy: The portal opened and they experienced a dimensional shift into a parallel universe.
In spiritual or New Age contexts, it describes a transformation in consciousness or vibrational frequency—a shift to a higher plane of awareness.
The term also appears in physics discussions about theoretical movement between spatial dimensions.
