Diametric describes things positioned at opposite ends of a diameter—and by extension, things as far apart as possible.
The word appears almost exclusively in the phrase diametric opposition or diametrically opposed, emphasizing complete and fundamental disagreement: Their views on immigration are diametrically opposed.
The less common form is diametrical.
