desert map
Sandy region guide
A desert map is a map showing an arid region—its terrain, oases, roads, and settlements.
In video games and tabletop RPGs, desert maps are common level settings featuring sand dunes, ancient ruins, and sparse vegetation.
The term also appears in fantasy cartography for fictional wastelands: The desert map showed three days' travel to the nearest water source.
