depledging

Leaving pledge process

Depledging is the process of removing someone from a fraternity or sorority pledge class before initiation, or the act of voluntarily withdrawing from pledging.

A pledge may be depledged for violations of house rules, poor grades, or incompatibility with members: He was depledged after the hazing incident.

Someone who quits the process has depledged themselves.
