defrayment
Settling an expense
Defrayment is the act of paying or covering expenses, particularly those incurred by someone else or on behalf of an organization.
It is the noun form of defray and appears most often in formal, legal, or administrative contexts: The grant included provisions for defrayment of travel costs.
While defrayal serves the same function, defrayment is the more common form.
