dance squad
Choreographed group performers
A dance squad is an organized group that performs choreographed routines, typically associated with a school, university, or professional sports team.
Unlike cheerleaders, dance squads focus primarily on dance performance rather than crowd-leading chants: She made the dance squad her junior year.
The term sometimes overlaps with drill team or pom squad.
