dadhood
Being a father
Dadhood is the state or condition of being a father.
It emphasizes the experiential and identity aspects of fatherhood rather than the biological relationship: Dadhood has changed him completely.
The informal *dad* rather than *father* gives the word a warmer, more hands-on connotation—less about lineage, more about diaper changes and school pickups.
