Preserve your work
Ctrl+S is the keyboard shortcut for saving a file in most computer applications—hold Control and press S.
The command has become so instinctive that experienced users hit it reflexively, sometimes multiple times in quick succession: I ctrl+s every few seconds when I'm writing.
Losing work to a crash or power outage teaches the habit fast.
