crystal gazers
Sphere-consulting diviners
Crystal gazers are people who practice crystal gazing—staring into a glass ball or other reflective surface, supposedly to see visions of the future.
The term extends to anyone who claims to predict what's coming: The crystal gazers on Wall Street expect a recession.
The label usually carries skepticism about such predictions.
