moon landing deniers

Moon landing deniers are people who believe the Apollo missions that landed astronauts on the Moon between 1969 and 1972 were faked by NASA and the U.S. government.

Despite overwhelming evidence—including hundreds of pounds of lunar samples, retroreflectors still used by scientists, and independent verification from other nations—deniers claim the footage was staged, often pointing to alleged anomalies in photographs or footage: My uncle is a moon landing denier who thinks the flag waving proves it was filmed in a studio.

The term carries dismissive connotations, grouping such believers with other conspiracy theorists.
