Cruiserweights are boxers in a weight class between light heavyweight and heavyweight, typically with an upper limit around 200 pounds.
The division bridges the gap for fighters too heavy for light heavyweight but smaller than true heavyweights.
The term also applies to similar divisions in wrestling and mixed martial arts: He dominated the cruiserweight division before moving up.
