coveteth

Lusts after possessions

Coveteth is an archaic form of covets, using the old English third-person singular ending -eth.

The word appears most famously in the King James Bible's Ten Commandments: Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house... nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

To covet is to desire something intensely, especially what belongs to another.
