counterchallenge
Rebuttal to objection
A counterchallenge is a challenge issued in response to another challenge.
When someone challenges your skills, authority, or position, you might respond with a counterchallenge rather than simply defending yourself: She met his accusation with a counterchallenge to prove his own credentials.
The verb works similarly: He counterchallenged her to do better.
