cosleeper
Shared sleep partner
A cosleeper is a bedside bassinet or crib that attaches to an adult bed, allowing a baby to sleep within arm's reach while maintaining a separate sleep surface.
The term also refers to a person—adult, child, or pet—who shares a bed with someone else: Our toddler is still a cosleeper.
The practice itself is called cosleeping.
