corn exchange
Grain trading hall
A corn exchange is a building where grain merchants historically gathered to buy and sell crops.
These were centers of agricultural commerce in British and European market towns, particularly during the 18th and 19th centuries.
Many survive today as repurposed venues for concerts, markets, or civic events: The old corn exchange is now an arts center.
