complementary angles
Sum to ninety
Complementary angles are two angles whose measures add up to 90 degrees.
In a right triangle, the two acute angles are always complementary.
The term extends to any pair of angles that together form a right angle: If one angle measures 35 degrees, its complement is 55 degrees.
