club team
Organization's playing group
A club team is a sports team organized independently of schools or professional leagues, typically formed by players who choose to join and often pay membership fees.
In youth sports, club teams offer more competitive play than recreational leagues: She plays for a club team in the off-season.
In college settings, club teams exist outside varsity athletics, student-run and less formally structured.
