cha-cha slide
Instructional party dance
A line dance performed to the 2000 song of the same name by DJ Casper, in which dancers follow verbal instructions—sliding, stomping, clapping, and crisscrossing their feet.
The song and dance are staples at weddings, school functions, and parties where coordinated group dancing is expected: The DJ played the cha-cha slide and everyone hit the floor.
