celts
Ancient cutting tools
Celts are prehistoric stone or metal tools shaped like axe heads or chisels, typically found at archaeological sites.
The term is used in archaeology to describe these worked implements regardless of the culture that produced them: The excavation uncovered several bronze celts dating to the late Bronze Age. (Capitalized Celts refers to the ancient peoples of Britain and Europe.)
