cashier's cheques
Guaranteed payment slips
Cashier's cheques are cheques issued by a bank rather than an individual account holder, drawn on the bank's own funds.
They're considered more secure than personal cheques because the bank guarantees payment: The seller insisted on a cashier's cheque for the car.
Common for large purchases where the recipient wants certainty the funds exist.
