Carpet tape is a strong double-sided adhesive tape used to secure carpets and rugs to floors without permanent attachment.
It prevents slipping and bunching, especially on hard surfaces: I put carpet tape under the runner to keep it from sliding.
The tape is designed to hold firmly but remove without damaging floors or carpet backing.
