Protective paper wrap
A cardboard sleeve is a protective covering made of stiff paper, designed to slide over or wrap around an item.
Most commonly it's the insulating wrapper around a hot coffee cup, preventing burned fingers: She slipped a cardboard sleeve onto her latte.
Sleeves also protect records, CDs, and product packaging.
