camp shows
Lakeside talent nights
Camp shows are entertainment performances staged for military personnel, typically featuring comedians, musicians, and other performers who travel to bases or combat zones.
The tradition became iconic through USO tours during World War II and continues today: Bob Hope was famous for his camp shows.
The term distinguishes these morale-boosting performances from regular touring productions.
