calendar girl

A calendar girl is a woman whose photograph appears in a decorative calendar, typically one featuring attractive women in glamorous or revealing poses.

The term evokes mid-twentieth-century pinup culture, when such calendars were common in garages, barbershops, and workshops: She posed as a calendar girl to pay for college.

The usage has declined as the calendars themselves have become less common.
