breed club
Canine enthusiasts' association
A breed club is an organization of enthusiasts dedicated to a specific breed of dog, cat, or other animal.
Members promote breeding standards, organize shows and competitions, maintain registries, and advocate for the breed's welfare.
Most recognized breeds have an official club that defines what an ideal specimen should look like: The German Shepherd breed club updated its standards last year.
