brake testing
Checking deceleration systems
Brake testing is the dangerous and often illegal practice of abruptly braking in front of another vehicle, forcing the trailing driver to react suddenly.
It's typically done out of road rage or to provoke a rear-end collision for insurance fraud: The dashcam footage clearly showed the other driver brake testing me.
The term also refers to legitimate mechanical inspection of braking systems.
