A bowleg is a leg that curves outward at the knee, creating a gap between the knees when standing with feet together.
The condition, called bowleggedness, gives a person a distinctive wide stance: He walked with a cowboy's bowleg swagger.
As an adjective, bowlegged describes someone with this condition: a bowlegged toddler learning to walk.
