bottle rockets
Launched festive explosives
Bottle rockets are small fireworks attached to a stick, launched by placing the stick in a bottle and lighting the fuse.
They shoot into the air and typically explode with a pop or crackle.
Common at Fourth of July celebrations, they're illegal in many jurisdictions due to fire hazard: We set off bottle rockets in the backyard.
