boiler house
Industrial heating facility
A boiler house is a building or room containing boilers that generate steam or hot water for heating, industrial processes, or power generation.
The term extends to any structure housing large heating equipment: The old factory's boiler house still stands behind the main building.
In British slang, a boiler house (or boiler room) can refer to a high-pressure telephone sales operation, often fraudulent.
