body percussion
Slapping your thighs
Body percussion is the practice of using the human body as a rhythm instrument—clapping hands, slapping thighs, stomping feet, snapping fingers, or striking the chest.
It appears in musical education, vocal group performances, and various folk traditions: The choir director taught us body percussion before we learned the song.
The technique requires no external instruments.
