knee slap
Loud laugh move
A knee slap is slapping one's own knee in a gesture of amusement or emphasis, typically accompanying hearty laughter.
The term often appears ironically to describe jokes that aren't actually funny: That's a real knee-slapper.
As an adjective, knee-slapping describes broad, unsubtle humor: knee-slapping comedy.
