boarding team
Vessel capture squad
A boarding team is a group of personnel trained to board vessels, aircraft, or other vehicles for inspection, seizure, or combat.
The term is most common in naval and coast guard contexts, where boarding teams conduct searches for contraband, verify documentation, or take control of hostile ships: The boarding team found weapons hidden in the cargo hold.
Military boarding teams may conduct forcible entries during combat operations.
