extraction team
Covert rescue squad
An extraction team is a group assigned to remove someone from a dangerous or hostile location.
The term comes from military and intelligence operations, where such teams rescue personnel from enemy territory or evacuate assets when cover is blown.
It now appears in action films and thrillers as a stock element: The extraction team will meet you at the airfield at 0400.
