The term comes from *The Matrix*, where taking the blue pill means remaining in blissful ignorance.
It's used dismissively, often by those who consider themselves awakened to hidden realities: He's too bluepilled to see what's really going on.
The term appears across political spectrums but is especially common in online subcultures claiming special insight into society, relationships, or power structures.
