blister packaging
Sealed plastic bubbles
Blister packaging is a type of product packaging where an item is sealed between a pre-formed plastic cavity and a backing card, typically cardboard or foil.
The transparent plastic bubble allows customers to see the product while keeping it secure and tamper-evident.
Common for pharmaceuticals, small electronics, and hardware, blister packs are notoriously difficult to open, sometimes requiring scissors or a knife.
I cut my finger trying to get the batteries out of that blister packaging.
