blind testing
Anonymous sample comparison
Blind testing is an experimental method where participants don't know key information that might influence their responses—which product is which, which treatment they're receiving, or which sample is the control.
The approach removes bias from evaluations: In blind testing, tasters couldn't distinguish the expensive wine from the cheap one.
In double-blind testing, neither participants nor researchers know who receives what until results are collected.
