Silver Mexican spirit
Blanco tequila is unaged tequila, bottled shortly after distillation without resting in oak barrels.
Also called silver or white tequila, it has a clear appearance and sharp agave flavor unmodified by wood: Blanco works best in margaritas.
Contrast with reposado (rested) and añejo (aged) tequilas, which spend months or years in barrels.
