blade edge
Knife's working margin
The blade edge is the sharpened side of a cutting tool—the part of a knife, sword, or razor that does the actual cutting.
The phrase is somewhat redundant since edge alone often implies the cutting part of a blade, but blade edge specifies exactly which edge is meant on tools that have multiple sides: Run your finger along the blade edge to test its sharpness.
