blacksmith shop
Anvil and furnace
A blacksmith shop is a workshop where a blacksmith works, forging and shaping metal—traditionally iron—using a furnace, anvil, and hammer.
Historically, blacksmith shops were essential fixtures in towns and along roads, providing horseshoes, tools, hardware, and repairs.
The term is sometimes shortened to smithy, which can refer to either the shop or the smith.
The old blacksmith shop has been preserved as a living history museum.
