beer guts

Beer guts is the plural of beer gut—a protruding belly attributed to excessive beer consumption.

The term applies broadly to any prominent paunch, regardless of its actual cause: a row of middle-aged men with beer guts.

The singular form is more common when describing an individual: He's developed quite a beer gut.
