be right

Have the truth

Be right is a phrase with two distinct uses.

In one, it means to be correct or accurate: You were right about the weather.

In the other, common in British English, it signals that someone will return or attend to something shortly: I'll be right back or simply Be right there.

The first use emphasizes accuracy of judgment or fact; the second emphasizes promptness and brief absence.
