bar mitzvah card
Thirteenth birthday greeting
A bar mitzvah card is a greeting card given to a Jewish boy celebrating his bar mitzvah, the coming-of-age ceremony at age thirteen.
Like birthday cards, they typically contain congratulations and often accompany a monetary gift: I still have the bar mitzvah cards from my relatives.
The equivalent for girls is a bat mitzvah card.
