ball-breaker

Exhausting, demanding person

A ball-breaker is a person or thing that is extremely demanding, difficult, or exhausting.

The term often describes an aggressive, domineering person—especially a woman perceived as emasculating men: My new boss is a real ball-breaker.

It can also refer to any grueling task or challenge: That exam was a ball-breaker.

The word is vulgar, drawing on the image of crushing testicles.
